BLOOMINGTON- Bloomington Police were able to make an arrest of an alleged armed robber Saturday night.
Police were called to the CITGO Gas Station at 807 S. Main around 9:35 p.m. Saturday night for an armed robbery in which the suspect displayed a handgun, and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the store and fled the area.
During the same time, BPD responded to a fight in the 700 block of S. Madison Street. While on the scene, an officer saw a person, matching the descprition of the armed robber, running through a backyard.
According to police, the officer attempted to place the suspect under arrest when a short foot pursuit took place, ending with the officer and suspect falling down a slope and hitting a tree. A second officer arrived and placed the suspect, 18 year old Terrell L. Hibbler under arrest for several gun charges, armed robbery a drug charges. Hibbler was arrested with a handgun, cash and drugs in his possession.
Hibbler is currently in the McLean County Jail.
