NORMAL – Heartland Community College received high marks on a recent satisfaction survey completed by 500 of its students.
The school offers the Ruffalo Noel Levitz Student Satisfaction Inventory every three years. Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs Sarah Diel-Hunt said the college had a satisfaction rate of over 90 percent on the majority of the areas surveyed.
“The very highest rated strength was that our campus is safe and secure,” said Deil-Hunt. “Students also found many other things to be high points, including that our faculty are knowledgeable in their fields.”
Deil-Hunt said these are the most positive results she’s seen in her 10 years with the Heartland.
“Even the things that were at the bottom for our students were still at a clip of 84 percent or higher satisfaction,” said Hunt. “We felt very pleased with the results of the survey.”
Deil-Hunt added the college ranked higher than the nation benchmarks for every item of the survey.
