BLOOMINGTON – If you can smile, ring a bell and say, “Merry Christmas,” you can help the Salvation Army of McLean County reach their $480 thousand dollar goal this season.
“Kids are going to be off school next week, it’s a great way to get the kids out there to do something good this holiday season to give back,” said Fulton. “You can go to www.ringbells.org. All of our locations and times are listed so you can sift through there and see what’s available. It’s a two hour shift.”
Temperatures will be in the 50’s next week, so it’s a great time to volunteer.
The Salvation Army had firefighters manning the bells on Friday and are just over halfway to goal.
The Salvation Army is still in need of coats. Many stores are knocking off prices on coats as temperatures are expected in the 50’s next week.
