Heyworth woman dead in wreck with semi

HEYWORTH – A woman from Heyworth died in a car wreck Thursday. McLean County Coroner Kathy Davis said Karen K. Short, 50, was the only person in her SUV at 3:45 p.m. when her vehicle collided with a semi on U.S. 51 and McLean County Road 100 North.

No information about the driver of the semi has been released. Illinois State Police and the McLean County Coroner’s office continue to investigate.
