BLOOMINGTON – The new face in charge of Radio Bloomington is a familiar one.
Paula Williams has been promoted to market manager for a cluster of stations that includes WJBC, WBNQ, B104, 93.7 FM NASH Icon and WJEZ in Pontiac. She told WJBC’s Terry James that there won’t be any significant changes.
“I’ll be out seeing people like I always have. Keith (Palmgren) will be doing that as well. We have a solid sales force that will be out on the streets,” Williams said. “Programming-wise, you guys will all be sitting in your chairs doing what you normally do on a daily basis, so for the listener, there shouldn’t be much change, either.”
There may be a few changes, though.
“I think I’m going to clean the carpets and change some light bulbs,” Williams joked.
Williams was first hired by Radio Bloomington in 1995 and came back in 2015 as sales director. Veteran sales associate Keith Palmgren will be promoted to Vice President, Director of Sales.
Williams replaces Red Pitcher, who is retiring after 26 years with Radio Bloomington.
